Blink 182's musical approach has been depicted by a variety of sources as "pop punk", "punk rock", "punk revival", and "skate punk". When they generally live in concert, the group characteristically sings their songs at a more rapidly pace and often swap certain lyrics with toilet humor and various gags. Blink-182 are famous for their simple and straigt forward melodies, teen angst and occasional lyrical toilet humor. Their general keywords of songs such as love and growing up, these being fused into multiple hit singles such as "Dammit" and "What's My Age Again?". Before the launch of their new and different untitled fifth album, darker songs by the band include singles "Adam's Song" and "Stay Together for the Kids".
