Speaking to Kerrang, Hoppus said: "We are gutted that we are postponing the tour. It was not a decision we made lightly, but we did it to bring you a much better show with new material."
"We don't want to be one of those bands that rests on former success and keeps playing the same songs over and over, we want to tour new songs."
According to the band's drummer Travis Barker recording with Blink 182 feels ''really exciting and new again''

He told website Gigwise.com: "It's going really well. I haven't recorded a Blink album in six years, which has gone really fast.
"At first it felt like we were getting straight back into it because we just started touring and there weren't any new songs. Now that there's new material it all feels really exciting and new again."

He added: "We were on a hiatus or broke up and then it was Tom who made the first move. When I was recovering in hospital from my crash he wrote a letter and called me and we all started reconnecting after that.
"We kind of saw that we weren't really fighting and not being in a band for a really good reason and I think everybody just wanted to get back into it again."
Travis Barker is a member of Blink-182 has slammed fans that hiscollaborationwithhip-hopartiststocriticize.
Rappers Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne are appear on his solo album 'Give The Drummer Some' which released on Monday 21st March, and he has performed live with the likes of Eminem and Drake.
He told, "It seems like I have more in common – or hit it off better – with rappers than fools that are in rock music".
He added: "Whenever I get an offer or hear a guy like Wayne shout me out on a mixtape, it's like, 'What the fuck!' I'm always flattered.
"I got people who were mad when I played the Grammys [in 2010] with Wayne, Drake, and Eminem. They'll be like, 'Stop playing this rap shit!'. It's like, fuck you, man! Open up your ears, you Nazi bastard. Don't be so closed-minded."
Never found out why you left him, but this answer begs a question, Too blind to see tomorrow, too broke to beg or borrow. Young and Stupid, left wide open Hearts are wasted, lives are broken
One more point of contention, I need some intervention Approaching failing tensions, betray my short attention span The distance, bridge the border Beg forgiveness, round the corner
Every time I look for you the sun goes down And I stumble when this whole thing runs aground I left another message, you are never around But every time I look for you the sun goes down once more Will the last one out, please shut the door
More time apart will give you, a few more months to argue Is this to much to live through, it always seems to far to drive The point home, send more letters Pray tomorrow, ends up better
Every time I look for you the sun goes down And I stumble when this whole thing runs aground I left another message, you are never around But every time I look for you the sun goes down once more Will the last one out, please shut the door
I never did do anything that she asked, I never let what happened, stay in the past I never did quite understand what she meant, In spite of everything, in spite of everything
Every time I look for you the sun goes down And I stumble when this whole thing runs aground I left another message, you are never around But every time I look for you the sun goes down And I stumble when this whole thing runs aground I left another message, you are never around but every time I look for you the sun goes down
Blink 182 after eight years - analbumhas beenreleased, butdrummerTravisBarkersaidthepartyhascompletedfivenewsongsandfanthemto their newalbumthis summerCan expectthewrap. According to the MTV that Barker told in this week, “I think we’ll turn in our album in June or July, honestly, and, I mean, the stuff’s awesome. It’s coming close, to the point where these are completed songs and they’re not going to change. These are album versions … I wish I could play everyone the songs now. Like I said, they sound awesome.” Barker explains, “You know, it’s hard, because we would get home from a tour, and then Tom [DeLonge]’s side project would go out, his side project comes back, he’s back now, he’s ready to get in the lab, [and] I’m about to say, ‘Peace out, I’m about to do my thing.’ So it’s like, when we’re in a room together for more than a month or two, it’s gonna really happen.
I mean, up until the last album, every album was written in a week. All of us had ideas, we would come, we would get into a room, [and] we’d go, ‘OK, you want to write the album?’ And we’d write those songs, and then we’d record them the next week. Now ... we all have studios, we all have the luxury of staying home and doing it, and we don’t have to get into a room to get an idea out or pay for a studio. So a lot of it’s going down. Like, we’re working in separate studios, just really kind of working on music.”
